Circa comes to Wales Millennium Centre this October

Brisbane-based contemporary circus company Circa will be bringing their spectacular show, Wunderkammer, to Wales Millennium Centre between 12 and 13 October.

Circa is world-renowned for creating startling new ways to experience circus. Combining seemingly impossible physical feats with poetic sensibility, performers of unbelievable ability bend the very fabric of reality with their breathless cocktail of new circus, cabaret and vaudeville

Wunderkammer, which means ‘cabinet of curiosities’, really lives up to its name. In a show which is a melting pot of new circus, acrobatics, cabaret and vaudeville, the rather scantily-clad performers demonstrate exceptional strength, grace and sheer guts; effortlessly combining near impossible feats with humour and style.

Since 2006 Circa has toured 22 countries across five continents. Critics have raved about its shows calling the work “stunning…exquisite… heart-stopping” and “electrically charged”.

Conrad Lynch, Artistic Director at Wales Millennium Centre said: “Contemporary circus shows are extremely popular with the Centre’s audience and I’m very pleased to welcome Circa to Wales for the first time.”

Circa Wunderkammer is created by Yaron Lifschitz and the Circa Ensemble. The Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz, the Associate Director is Ben Knapton and it is produced by Danielle Kellie.
